Personal Identifiers of Scientists

Identifiers establish an unambiguous, one-to-one link between an author and the publication results of their scientific research. Since a single global publication database does not yet exist, each citation database issues its own specific identifiers.

AuthorID RSCI (NEB eLIBRARY.RU) & SPIN Code • AuthorID: Assigned to every user (reader) profile registered on the Scientific Electronic Library (NEB) platform within the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) system. • SPIN Code: Assigned additionally once an author registers in the advanced Science Index system (within RSCI). • link

ORCID ID • A unique, global identifier for scientists known as the Open Researcher and Contributor ID. The primary objective of ORCID is to distinguish between researchers who share identical first and last names. • Every author of a scientific article is assigned a unique 16-digit number formatted as a URL (e.g., [http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097](http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097)). • It is widely used to verify and claim authorship of scientific works across major indexing platforms, including Scopus and Web of Science. • registration link

Google Scholar Profile • Registering a profile in Google Scholar vastly increases the online visibility of your academic works. It enables automatic notifications whenever your publications are cited across a very wide range of web sources. • This service is formally known as Google Scholar Citations (GSC). • Google Scholar provides the most comprehensive coverage among all existing index platforms. Because it indexes all university websites and institutional repositories, virtually any work published on the internet automatically syncs to your personal GSC profile. registration
